Liptauer: Austrian or ?

A Liptauer-bread is a traditional snack you generally get in any Heurigen (a garden-bar in which you get the new wine of this year) in Austria.

Thus, when I think of Liptauer, I immediately get homely feelings and when someone asks me what Austrian food is about I often talk about Liptauer. And all that despite writing in the description of “Liptauer”: made to an age-old Slovakian recipe.

So much about claiming the nationality of a dish! 😉
